Grants programme 2011-12

Small Grant Envirovet Summer Institute

We offer grants to practising vets and vet nurses, as well as vets in universities and animal charities, for projects that aim to impact animal health through research and education.

Grants and activities available

Main Fund (ending in 2011)

A small but wide-ranging grants programme aiming to drive intrinsic innovation across the profession, from blue-sky investigations, to opening students’ eyes to careers in research.

Veterinary nursing anniversary programme (New)

Celebrating a landmark year, this dedicated programme aims to encourage veterinary nurses to push the boundaries of their role and to make a unique difference to animal care.  We will do this by:

  • Supporting VN practical education with equipment grants. The application stage is now closed. Applications are being reviewed and awards will be made December 2011 / January 2012 (applicants will be notified directly).

  • Inspiring VNs to lead changes and innovation in practice.  We want to hear about your light bulb moments at work.

  • Empowering VNs to disseminate their knowledge and experience.

See relevant pages for further details.

Enquiring Minds and Incubating Ideas (New)

A pilot programme to investigate novel ideas and collaborations that have potential to become major activities for the Trust or others in the future.

This is under development and further details will follow.
