Supporting the Trust can make a big difference to animal health, treatment and welfare through veterinary care, knowledge and understanding; both in the UK and around the world.
Care
Since 2000 the Trust has invested over £2 million in prevention, treatments and cures for a wide range of species, diseases and disciplines including bovine TB, avian influenza, oncology and mastitis.
We have also funded a growing number of important grassroots animal welfare initiatives in the UK and developing countries including Mali, Ethiopia, Jordan and India. This has had a direct positive impact on the welfare of animals and their owners in some of the world’s poorest communities.
Knowledge and understanding
Our Library serves veterinarians all over the world supplying up to the minute information on all areas of animal health.
Our Historical Collection is priceless and unique. One of three major veterinary collections in the UK, it contains copies of all the major authors’ works in the veterinary sphere dating from 1514.
Why we need your support
The RCVS Charitable Trust is a registered charity and has limited funds for projects. The Trust is operating in an increasingly commercial environment and receives no government or statutory funding income.
We rely on generous donations and bequests to make a difference to animal health, treatment and welfare. As we look to the future, this support is needed more than ever and there are a number of different ways to get involved.
